1981年、シンガー、プロデューサー、マルチインストゥルメンタリストのAl Jourgensenによってイリノイ州シカゴで結成されたMinistryは、1983年にデビュー作「With Sympathy」をリリース。
80年代末にはシンセポップからインダストリアル・メタルのパイオニアへと変貌を遂げました。
このBOSセットには、ナイン・インチ・ネイルズやホワイト・ゾンビのファンのために、サンクチュアリのインプリントであるMayanに所属していた頃のミニストリーの4つのクラシック・アルバムが収録されています。
